Description /

Through dedicated and transparent project management, our team was able to overcome numerous challenges presented by a distressed project - including negotiation of a $150m works contract - to successfully manage the completion of this 23-floor, mixed-use development. The development comprises of 60,000m² of built area including retail, office space and three levels of basement parking.

Our Role /

After initially being solely developer managed, the project suffered a setback in early 2010 when the main contractor defaulted, causing work to stop for several months and the structure to remain incomplete. After NS Projects was engaged, we successfully negotiated with a new contractor and restarted the project. Working with the developer’s team, we led negotiations and executed a contract within 4 months of appointment. This was an excellent outcome considering a price review was undertaken (resulting in a 10% reduction in price, in a difficult negotiating position) as well as a renegotiation of the contract terms.
