Five years and a full circle for Josh Farnworth /

Congratulations to Senior Project Manager, Josh Farnworth, on a five-year journey to date with NS Group that has seen him contribute across both sides of Australia!

Hailing originally from Melbourne, Josh joined NS Group in 2015 as Assistant Project Manager in our Perth headquarters and in 2017 he was promoted to Project Manager. Josh returned to his home city in 2019 to help establish our Victorian office where he has since been promoted to Senior Project Manager in July 2020.

With 13+ years of experience in the property and construction industry, Josh gained solid head contractor experience in all phases of the construction process during his time on the contractor side before transitioning into client-side project management at NS Group.

Reflecting upon his chosen career path, Josh said, “I enjoy the variety that each project brings as no two projects are the same.”

“I get a real buzz out of being able to problem solve and work through the challenges of a project with a team of people in order to deliver great outcomes for our clients.

“Working within the construction industry generally gives you a tangible sense of accomplishment because you get to see the end user enjoying the finished product, which is the most rewarding aspect.

“I genuinely believe that the construction industry is for anyone and everyone, and it takes all sorts. It’s up to the individual what they want to make of it to get the most out.”

Josh said that his time with NS Group so far has been very rewarding.

“Since joining the company, I’ve been able to work with some fantastic people – both colleagues and clients – and I’ve learnt a lot from them,” he said.

“At times, the work can be quite challenging and arguably no tougher than it is now in 2020, but it’s the camaraderie and being able to have a laugh with the people you work with that makes it enjoyable.”

“Being able to relocate back to my home in Melbourne and continuing my journey with the company has been fantastic and I’m excited for what opportunities there are for the future.”

Closely supporting the VIC State Manager with ongoing business development and leading his own projects, Josh is a valued team member playing a role in the growth of NS Group’s Melbourne office and the company’s operations along the east coast.

“I genuinely believe that the construction industry is for anyone and everyone, and it takes all sorts. It’s up to the individual what they want to make of it to get the most out.”
