Five years and counting for David Henry /
09 Oct 2020
Congratulations to Project Director, David Henry, on reaching his five-year milestone with NS Group.
Boasting a career spanning more than a quarter of a century, David has been involved in a long list of projects of all shapes and sizes over the years. From delivering critical infrastructure in the Pilbara region to creating fit-for-purpose accommodation for seniors and people with disability, he thrives on the different challenges that each project brings.
David said, “At NS Group, we get to deliver so many diverse projects – I’ve been fortunate to be involved in some really interesting ones.”
“I’m very proud to have helped deliver the new elite training and administration facility (ETAF) for the West Coast Eagles at Mineral Resources Park, and the award-winning Integrated Marine Operations Centre (IMOC) control tower in Port Hedland for the Pilbara Ports Authority,” he said.
“I enjoyed leading the redevelopment project for St Catherine’s College student accommodation within the University of Western Australia in Crawley. It was a cool home away from home for students coming from remote communities in the north of Western Australia, and the feedback we received from them was incredibly positive.
“I’m currently working with a client in the specialist disability accommodation (SDA) space to create purpose-built housing that enables people with disability to live independently – this is a type of project which I find truly rewarding.”
But it hasn’t been all work and no play for David – his relationship-building style has meant that many clients have become long-term friends. There are even times when work and personal interests align. For instance, getting the opportunity to develop a new clubhouse for Lakelands Country Club for an avid golfer like David was definitely right up his alley!
Looking forward to what the next 5 years may hold David said, “I believe the future for NS Group is very exciting.”
“We’re geographically diverse and have successfully delivered projects across multiple sectors, so as Australia emerges from COVID-19 we’re well-placed to deliver on the opportunities that will be available.”
