As part of Foundation Housing’s strategy to provide social and key worker housing in the Perth CBD, the site at Bennett Street presented an ideal opportunity to develop 52 studio apartments over 10 floors. The development included a large, mixed-use space to encourage strong social activation amongst both residents and local community.
Our Role /
NS Group was engaged by Foundation Housing to manage the delivery of their flagship Affordable Housing development at 67-69 Bennett Street, Perth.
Working with Foundation Housing to utilize their NRAS entitlement, our role included developing a brief as well as procuring an architect (through a paid design competition) to manage the design on a very constricted site.
The project offered key challenges throughout that we were able to overcome including Increasing the yield on the site and reducing the requirement for onsite parking.
Our role also included managing the procurement of the building in a GMP contract, contract administration and acting as contract Superintendent during project delivery.
